To celebrate Chinese New Year and Burns Night falling on the same day in 2020, Park Chinois and The Dalmore will be hosting a one-off rare and exclusive whisky dinner. Bringing together Chinese cuisine and Scotch at this exclusive evening held in the confines of Park Chinois’ beautiful private dining room, Salon Rouge.
Guests will enjoy a whisky cocktail on arrival before settling into a four-course, multi-dish Chinese feast, paired with whiskies from Dalmores private collection, including the Dalmore 1263 King Alexander III and the Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve. Led by Chef Liang Koon Cheun, the menu, specially created to pair with the distinct notes in each malt, includes dishes considered celebratory at this special time of year, like the Eight Treasure Soup and Roasted Suckling Pig.
The evening will be hosted by Dalmore’s Global Whisky Ambassador, the inimitable Daryl Haldane, with each malt handpicked by Master Blender, Richard Paterson, typically known as “the nose” and widely considered as one of the most revered whisky blenders across the globe. This dinner is a must for whisky lovers, particularly those interested in pairing malts with Asian flavours.
The dinner is limited to 9 guests and costs £200 per guest. Dinner will commence at 8pm and held in Park Chinois’ luxurious private dining room.
